Kids Thursday Evening Pottery in October

Open to students from 6-16 years old!
Join Sarah for this fun educational and artistic kids class. Each class we will learn about a different artist relating to pottery or ceramics and make a project based on that artist. We will start with a presentation on the artist, studio or technique. We will draw out design ideas then choose one or two to turn into our 3D art. Kids will have access to a rainbow of slips and glazes to finish their work in. Pieces will be ready for pick up the 2-4 weeks after class, students will be called or text when ready for pick up.

5pm Drop off : Inspired by Art History
5:05- Artist Inspiration
5:15- Drawing out personal inspiration
5:20- Sculpting your art
5:35- Paint project with colorful slips
5:50- Either- clean up or transition to wheels
6:pm- Pick up For first class or Move to Wheels for second half.
6:05- Wheel Demos
6:15- Wheel Practice
6:30- Clean up Wheels
6:40- Second coat of slip on project from earlier
6:50- Clean up
7pm- Pick up for send half of class
