🎨 Instruction
In this 2 day class you will have the opportunity to make a set of 4 bowls to create your own set of beautiful dish-ware. On day 1, April 19th, 12-2pm you use hand building techniques to create your slab plate set.
🔥 Glazing & Firing
Students will come in on the second day of class, May 10th, 3-5pm to glaze their own work. Dishes will be microwave and dishwasher safe After the cone 6 firing.
🧽 Clean-Up
Clean-up begins 15 minutes before the end of class. Students are expected to clean their work space and assist with returning shared tools and materials.
👕 Studio Attire
Working with clay is messy. Clay washes off easily, but students are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for studio work. This is a hand building class which is generally less messy, but we ask you to be prepared.
⏳ Finished Work
Completed pottery will be ready for pickup approximately 1-2 weeks after the final class. Your teacher will give you a more specific time depending on our firing schedule.
🏺 Pottery Pick-Up
Finished work will be placed on our pottery pick-up shelves. Pick-up is self-service. Students are texted when pottery is ready, aprox 2-4 weeks after class. Anything left after 6 months becomes the property of Amused Studios
⚠️ Pottery Survival
Classes are an educational service focused on learning and exploration. Tuition covers instruction and experience. Objects created are outcomes of the process and may be kept or recycled, but finished results cannot be guaranteed. While we take great care with every project, not all pottery survives the firing and finishing process.
