We work with people where they are in their artistic journey.  Our pottery classes start with soft clay that we work into shapes and forms.  People often come with ideas that they want to create, but if they need inspiration we can help with that too.  We often start with the basics of hand building, coils, slabs and pinching to move the clay into the shapes, then move into wheel throwing when its appropriate, unless it is specifically a handbuilding or throwing oriented class.  Each person works at their own pace.  
People can choose to come once to try Pottery (if so they can choose a color of glaze that we finish the work with), or they can choose to take another class to make more work and glaze their own pots to learn more about the process; all of our glazes and underglazes are made in-house.   
Pottery takes 4 weeks on average to finish, and we contact each person when their piece(s) are ready to pick up.
